One-on-one support that centers on you.
Therapy can be a place to reconnect with your sense of direction and remember the strengths that have carried you this far. For many people, it’s the first time they’ve had space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand their own power.
In my Austin-based practice, I work with adults and young adults navigating life transitions, identity questions, trauma, anxiety, and the weight of just trying to get through the day. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just unsure where to begin, individual therapy gives you a place to slow down and hear yourself think.
Many of my clients are LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or people who’ve felt misunderstood or unsupported in more traditional therapy settings. Here, the work begins with respect and realness. You don’t need to be fearless to begin, you just need a place where you can lay down the mask and start showing up as yourself.
What can individual therapy help with?
There’s no one reason people seek therapy. Sometimes it’s a clear challenge, other times it’s a vague sense that something isn’t quite right. Here are some of the common issues we can explore together:
- Identity exploration (gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, or all of the above)
- Anxiety, depression, or chronic stress
- Trauma and difficult past experiences
- People-pleasing, perfectionism, or burnout
- Boundary setting and self-advocacy, especially if you’re used to prioritizing others
- Feeling disconnected from your values or sense of purpose
- Life transitions, grief, or feeling stuck
Whether you’re sorting through something specific or just feeling off and unsure why, therapy can help you make sense of what’s going on and find your footing.
What does therapy look like with me?
Our sessions are grounded in your goals and shaped by your voice. I bring tools from EMDR, mindfulness, parts work, and psychodynamic therapy, but I don’t use jargon or a scripted plan. You won’t be pathologized here. You’ll be listened to.
Some sessions are reflective and quiet. Others are full of insight and “eureka!” moments. We might explore your past or stay focused on the present. The process is flexible and led by your needs.
This is therapy that meets you where you are and grows with you.
Why work with a therapist in Austin?
Austin is weird, wonderful, and complex. It’s a place where people live outside the box, but also where finding genuinely affirming support can still be hard. As a nonbinary therapist who grew up here, I understand how local culture shapes how we move through the world.
I’ve seen how affirming therapy can be life-changing for those who haven’t always felt at home in this city. Whether you’re juggling the pressures of Austin’s fast-paced creative culture or looking for grounding amid major change, this is a space where you can reconnect to yourself.
Whether you’re new to Austin or a longtime resident, I offer care that’s grounded, identity-affirming, and rooted in real life.
You don’t need to be fixed. You don’t need to perform. You just need a place where you feel seen. Where you can breathe. Where the story begins to shift.
